at home how to: cleaning tarnished copper

At Burlap, one of the restaurants the company I work for owns, we have high top tables in the bar area that are copper – topped. These look super cool with the warm tones and eccentric design of the place, unfortunately they attracts water stains like they are going out of style. Obviously, using water doesn’t work, and regular household cleaners don’t seem to do the trick either. Cue Google, my source for all things unknown.

Another surprise ingredient with a helpful new use: ketchup! This delicious condiment – quite possibly the best condiment ever – is exactly what will help revamp your copper pots, pans, decorative accents or in my case, table top. Pour a dime sized dab onto a washcloth and use it to rub out any stains and give your items a fresh shine!
