Cajun Cookout

In San Diego, seasons don’t really exist. So what if in the fall I go crazy over pumpkin everything; sure, it gets down to a cool low 50’s here around the winter months. But lucky for us, we are blessed with perfect summer days throughout the year. This year, we have gotten extremely lucky with the sun and surf, even this close to Christmas.

Last week, some friends decided why not take advantage of our blessings and throw a good old fashioned crawfish boil? The weather was nice on this fine Sunday afternoon, so we all brought some sort of tasty ingredient to the mix, which resulted in a mega feast of epic proportions.

All you need is some fresh seafood, some beer and stock for the broth, typical sides like corn on the cob and potatoes, and a lot of Old Bay. Let that shit cook for a while over medium-high heat and then simmer to allow it to marinate in it’s tastiness while you wait for your guests to arrive!
