Looking for an adventure? Mosey on down

So it’s no secret that I have been craving a vacation lately. Whether it’s hopping on a train to Santa Barbara for some wine tasting or crossing the border into Mexico for a few nights, spontaneous travel is one of those things that just makes life great. The other day, I posted an array of weekend getaways from San Diego. This has already inspired myself and others to break out of the normal routine and seek adventure elsewhere. But what if you don’t live in San Diego and have an equally wandering eye as a jet setter like myself does?

Upon reading my post, my *lovely* roommate sent me an article on a new site called Mosey that I am totally obsessed with. The site’s functionality can be summed up in it’s tagline, prompting users to make epic plans. Or to put it even more literally, instead of asking someone, “Hey I am in your city, what should I do or see?”, you can simply turn to Mosey to find whatever it is you are looking for (or to stumble upon something unexpectedly great). Whether it’s a local hot spot, a weekend daycation, or a detailed itinerary, users have the unique ability to create and share their own adventures with personal stories, insider tips, photos, and/or step-by-step directions.

This site is sure to revolutionize the way people share travel experiences with one another, being that it is both interactive and highly personable. Unlike other similar sites like Trip Advisor and Jet Setter, you can find a lot more authentic experiences to encounter on your travels. I am a more of a plan-once-you-arrive, off-the-beaten-path kind of traveler, so this site suits me perfectly.

After perusing the site for a while, I already have a few leads as to how to spend my time in France doing things a little differently than your average American tourist. Instead of trying to cut the lines at the outrageously crowded monuments everyone and there mother visits, you can find me in search of the perfect cup of hot chocolate, hunting for a Turkish soup shop in the heart of Paris, and meandering down a private backroad that leads to a mysterious surprise.

If you are even remotely interested in adventure, you should definitely check out this site. Create, Share, Explore!
